Just a couple of notes on Chapters 10 and 11:

Chapter 10:

TIME: 15:18 TEXT: "And scorn to flinch in the glorious fight" COMMENT: This phrase is omitted in the reading.

The silent period at the end of the reading needs to be trimmed down to five seconds.

Chapter 11:

PL OK.

seem to be having a problem with how Im downloading these, the 1st 2 are incorrect but dont know why when I download the file it adds a little extra on the end ?

Hi Muirne,

I can clarify this for you. Lomond pointed out that you left out the sentence “And scorn to flinch in the glorious fight”. It should have been there at 5 minutes 18 seconds into the recording. The sentence can be found on page 118, and it is written in a smaller font than the rest of the book, so I can understand that it can be easy to accidentally miss it out.

You do not need to re-read the entire chapter to fix this! All you have to do is record the missing sentence, copy it, and paste it into your original recording.

Hello Phil!

Yes, those pesky .mp3s sometimes appear twice in a row, and here’s why.

When you finish recording your chapter, you
Go to File > Export > Export as MP3
And then you reach the point where you Type in the file name. But here’s the catch. When you clicked “Export as MP3”, Audacity automatically recognizes that your file will be named yourchoiceofanything.mp3. The .mp3 ending will always be there. So when you named your file, you most likely typed in robberscave_18_tucker_128kb.mp3 and Audacity automatically added that extra .mp3, thus giving you a double ending.

Try exporting it as an MP3 one more time, and when it asks you to name your file, just type in robberscave_18_tucker_128kb and see how that goes.
