It looks like the role of Porgy is yet unclaimed. I would like to give it a shot, please!

Hey Wayne! Great work here!Kalamareader wrote: ↑August 24th, 2023, 10:39 am In the character credit, should I say "Sporting Life" or "Sportin' Life", to be more in character?
Well, here are Sportin' Life's lines:

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/porgy_sporting_2.mp3 2:08

A couple of things:
I kind of felt like the Serpent in the Garden.
And as to the pronunciation of the name Scipio. In two of the states I have lived in, Utah and Oregon, there are towns named Scipio and Scio respectively, and in both cases, the 'c' is silent. Also, that pronunciation is permissible for Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus the Roman General, so that is how I pronounced it the one time it came up.

Act 3 and 4 are PL OK!
I've got a couple small PL notes for you, just a couple of missed lines:
Act 1:
@ 0:24 missing line (pg. 13 middle): "Sistuhs! You needn't worry! Gawd-fearin' ladies is de las' t'ing on eart' Bess is a-wantin' for 'sociate wid.
@ 0:43 missing line (pg. 20 towards the bottom): "Six to make! Get um again!"
Act 2:
@ 1:58 missing line (pg. 84, top of the page below bracketed text): "Gawd, what a grip fo' a piece ob a man!"
Thank you!

I've recorded all the lines for Porgy. I will edit each act and post as I complete to make it easier on the proof listener.
Here is Act One -
