There are no numbers in the Gutenberg text, so please search for your poem by name. Please be very careful when looking up your poem, as several titles are very similar (The Little Girl Lost and A Little Girl Lost), and in many cases, the same title is given to two different poems, one in each section (Introduction, A Divine Image, and A Cradle Song, etc.).

It's just great you've taken on coordinating these collections; they are timeless poetry indeed!

I'd like to record the following poems:

The little black boy
Nurse's Song (both Innocence and Experience)
Chimney Sweeper (both I & E)
Holy Thursday (both I & E)
The Fly
London

Dennis - I'm glad you're excited about the project; I thought since Gord's Leaves of Grass and my Shakespeare's Sonnets are all claimed up, it was time to start another volume of poetry. I've signed you up for those poems you requested.

Hugh - Thanks, and of course I understand you are busy. Besides, I want those three sections of Sonnets you owe me before you sign up for any more of mine! :P

The Divine Image

Experience
Clod and Pebble
Earth's Answer
Ah! Sunflower
The Lily
The Garden of Love

Thank you very much!

I like all Blake's nature poems and some of his prophetic poems and I am glad they are nice and short.

I have a copy edited by Jacob Bronowski so I can read from there. Is the text any different from the Gutenberg?

You're all signed up, Bronwyn Kate! Wow, this will be claimed in no time at this rate! I assumed that when you said "Little Girl Lost" that you meant "The Little Girl Lost" (24) and not "A Little Girl Lost" (42). Was this what you wanted? Let me know otherwise.

I imagine your printed text should match up just fine but I guess it wouldn't hurt for you to double check against Gutenberg. I would check but I don't have the text you have so it is up to you.

I'm swamped with a bunch of stuff... but how could I live with myself if I didn't volunteer for a reading of William Blake? One of my all time favorites.

Since I don't have a lot of time on my hands, I'll just go straight for the gusto and take "the tiger".

Thanks for coordinating this one!

I hoped I'd see you here Gord. :) I saw that you were one of the ones discussing it in the suggested books forum. And who better than the reader known as "The Voice" could I hope for to read "The Tiger"?! I look forward to it, and by all means grab more if you have more time later and there are still some available.

Nobody's picked this yet?
28 The Sick Rose

Can I have it? I know it as a song by Ivor Cutler and never even realized it was by Blake!

Figured I couldn't stop with just one, Annie? To be honest, it seemed to be filling up fast and I didn't want to be greedy. It's hardly as if there isn't already plenty of my braying around on these sound files...

But I really did WANT that one! If there are any still left on Monday night, I'll do them all if you like.

These nice short poems are much like the fables and potato chips, you can't have just one!

I'm glad you got the one you wanted most! And of course you can claim more tomorrow if you'd like, but don't feel like you have to, I'm sure they'll all get grabbed eventually. Thanks, Chip.

Hey, LL, you're right about not being able to have just one! If I may, I'll take "Divine Image" as well.

Oh, I'm looking forward to this, Annie! Like Hugh, I'm behind with my recordings, otherwise... but it seems to fill up nicely anyway! :)
