The Blood of the Vampire, by Florence Marryat (1837 - 1899)

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-blood-of-the-vampire-by-florence-marryat/

The Blood of the Vampire is a Gothic novel, often compared to Bram Stoker's Dracula and Le Fanu's Camilla. Harriet is a vampire who kills accidentally. She enters a European convent and tries to integrate into society, Victorian and strait-laced. The novel deals with eugenics, race and class and has been praised for its different view of vampires, as suffering from a medical ailmant rather than a supernatural phenomenon. (Summary by Lynne T)

Sounds interesting and innovative. Is this a group project? If so, I'd like to claim section 1, if you accept claims this early.
