Captain Billy's Whiz Bang, Vol. 2. No. 16, January, 1921 by W. H. Fawcett (1885 - 1940)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/captain-billys-whiz-bang-vol-2-no-16-january-1921-by-w-h-fawcett/

"Captain Billy's Whiz Bang" was an iconic magazine of American wit and humor launched by W.H. Fawcett in 1919. Each 64-page issue is packed with jokes, quips, and humorous bits of writing. Each year it grew in popularity, and Fawcett’s success lead to the formation of the well-known Fawcett Publications, which issued "Whiz Comics" and introduced Captain Marvel. The magazine was immortalized in a line in the song “Trouble” from Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man.” (Summary by Larry Wilson)

Thank you for setting this up, Ann!
I brought up the MW this morning and was about to paste my first section in when apparently LV went down for the rest of the morning and at least part of the afternoon, so I had to wait until this evening, but we are ready to go for another issue!
