Just wanted to double check on this file. No worries if you haven't gotten to it, I happened to notice the MW shows it hasn't been sent in yet. :D It's all good though!

I'm happy to pick up Uncle Alec to help get this completed.

Excellent! It's (unfortunately) only a tiny part, and mostly indirect speech, but I want Uncle Alec to be able to have his own voice -- he deserves it!

Thanks!

For the life of me I cannot find any speeches of Uncle Alec in the designated chapters.

Ah, there's that "indirect speech" at work: the narrator often recalls what Uncle Alec had said, rather than having his speech occur in the moment of the story.

Your line in chapter 3 is near the bottom of page 4, at the end of such a narration:
not like to see the child getting so much the look of her Aunt Felicity.
There are several greenish background hues in play, but your lines also have the text itself colored yellow, if that helps find the others. You can refer to the character name at the top of the file to see the exact look of your lines.
I'll be out for a bit on this last weekend of April, but still checking in as I get the chance. I will try to follow up on Monday, with anything I can't do on the go.

I didn't find any script links in the MW until just now when I scrolled all the way to the bottom. I didn't think of looking there, so I was using the Internet Archive scans and nothing made sense. I'll deal with this tomorrow at this point.

Uncle Alec:

Checker has passed with warnings the file for #17 as the background noise is 48.1. I took the file through one level of noise reduction and I suspect that it's just the fact that it's a very short file that has triggered the warning.

Oh, man, you did a lot of work for such a tiny role! (Thanks, redrun, for pointing Beeswaxcandle in the direction of our scripts! :D )

Thanks, Beeswaxcandle, for a wonderful characterization of Uncle Alec. Such a shame he has such a small role -- he had a larger role in the first book, but in this book all the kids talk more, and the adults less...

Uncle Alec is PL OK!
