I am so sorry - I seem to have saved my Scene 5 as choir member 2 instead of 1, which means I've overwritten the file by 'gooseandcaboose'. Argh! I trust she has the original file saved on her computer. I've sent her a PM.

Not to worry, the old versions are not really "written over", just renamed. I've fixed things back there, but if you could check the links, make sure the one for you points to your file and the one for Choir Member 2 does not point to your file (it should be pointing the the original reader's file once again).

Next I could do the editing of the Prologue and Scenes, if that role is available?

Rapunzelina,

I would be thrilled if you would like to work on the editing!

Please feel free to move sections around in the MW, especially if you decide to edit files into a scene without a PL ... just move them down to be with the rest of the files from that scene and mark them PL OK once they are edited in.

For Scene 2, I'm missing a line from Tobias, read by Alan Mapstone.
On page 30, disguised underneath a stage direction (To Dav.):
"Here, lad, make haste. Come ! bear the pot away."

Thank you, Alan! Yes, it's sounds the same voice!

And here's Scene II at 20:14 https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/mysteryplay_2_benson_128kb.mp3 also in the Magic Window.

Thank you both!

Elijah should be along to PL the edited section shortly. We've chatted by PM so he knows it's ready for a listen.

AgnesRobert wrote: December 11th, 2023, 3:42 pm well, I have done the thing and this file is half singing

first you have me singing lower which is bad, then you have me singing higher which is also bad, but choices make things better right?

but after that I am just saying words which can't be anything but an improvement over the previous singing

https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/mysteryplay_gaspar_5.mp3 (6:59)

sometimes I think about trying to learn to carry a tune so I can be mildly more helpful on librivox and less annoying should I ever live close enough to shapenote singing to start going again, but I've not managed to carry though on that yet

feel free to comment on anything you wish to and I will try to make it better
I think it was wonderful! PL OK!

I will attend to the rest tomorrow (if I said next year I would be correct, but sounding like a much longer delay  )

Thanks
Elijah

1: https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/mysteryplay_abel_1.mp3 (0 mins, 41 secs)
4: https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/mysteryplay_abel_4.mp3 (1 min, 52 secs)

Haven't been able to finish recording the last act yet but I decided to give you the ones I have gotten done and I will do the other one as soon as I can, hopefully I haven't missed any lines but the other stuff in act 1 seemed like the singing which you said you were fine with me not doing. The first act also has a stage direction where it notes Abel is sobbing I noticed, I wasn't sure if you wanted that but it's usually better to err on the side of recording and the editor can just discard if they don't want it so I recorded some sobbing too just in case
PL OK!
