I will definitely want to participate in this! It might be a couple of days before I can record it, but I'll get cracking soon, I promise. Thanks!

The USA tune was new to me. According to Wikipedia this is the original tune. I've no idea why the UK sings another.
I sang the melody line.
This is pitched very low. Most male singers will struggle with a bottom G unless they are a proper bass, and I'm not.
Please let me know if you want harmony or instrumental recordings.

Hi Twinkle,
Considering how much I tend to procrastinate, I don't think this is too early at all! ☺ I'm very familiar with the U.S. version, and have heard the English version, although I don't think I've sung it before (thank goodness you provide the lyrics!), so I think I'll be ambitious and do both parts.
Thanks, as always, for including me.
Laura

Hi Twinkle, Nothing like a friendly PM nudge! Here is my contribution, in the spirit of the season. (I'm not a singer!)Twinkle88 wrote:November 1st, 2020, 11:08 am ...I was hoping you might be interested in singing for the group song of 2020, "Away in a Manger."
Thanks,
Twinkle

Oh, no! Perhaps I should have raised the song a note or two. I think, though, that the lowest note in this version of "Away in a Manger" is a half-note higher than the lowest note in the version of "Silent Night" from two years ago, so I'm hoping this will work out okay...
Thank would be great!! Thank you!ChristianeJehanne wrote: ↑November 2nd, 2020, 12:33 am Bonjour !
