Hi Elijah!

Could I please request 2 tiny corrections for Dr. Panna Lal Chapter 9:

Cholera is pronounced with the emphasis on the first syllable (kŏl′ər-ə) - you put the emphasis on the second syllable, making it hard to understand.
(Listen here: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/pronunciation/english/cholera )

1:19
DR. PANNA LAL: “Cholera, cholera, what next, what now?”

1:35
DR. PANNA LAL: “I hear cholera, ..."
(kŏl′ər-ə)

1:47
...and the originators of them ought to be discovered and punished authoritatively.”

Instead of "authoritatively," this time I hear "authoriatively" (missing the "t")

Nice acting, Elijah!

I really love the accent!

Thanks,
TJ

Ronny Chapter 8 Notes:

7:52 pronunciation: "deputations"
I hear deSputations instead of "deputations"
7:56 pronunciation: "concilIation"

[I noticed you pronounced "deputations" correctly in your first submission, so I could probably edit it in:
7:45 in original file
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/passagetoindia_ronny_082023_02_01_15_10_29.mp3
But unfortunately "conciliation" is incorrectly pronounced in both versions.]

9:30 I hear "diverts" instead of "deserts"
[This was pronounced correctly in the original submission -- 9:25 in original submission]

Maybe it would be easiest if you simply reread these two lines, and then submitted them in a separate file entitled:

passagetoindia_ronny_08extralines.mp3

Page 19:
"...There had been deputations and conciliation committees under the auspices of Turton, and all the normal work of Chandrapore had been hung up..."

RONNY: “When the animal runs into us the Nawab loses his head, deserts his unfortunate chauffeur, intrudes upon Miss Derek . . . no great crimes, no great crimes, but no white man would have done it.”

Thanks!

Ronny Chapter 28 Notes:

0:36 I hear "where she had BEEN worshiped" instead of "where she had worshipped".

RONNY: would put up a tablet to her in the Northamptonshire church where she had worshipped, recording the dates of her birth and death and the fact that she had been buried at sea. This would be sufficient.
