@ 03:27:
"… containing at that time a population of seventeen thousand souls …"
heard as
"… containing at that time a population of seven thousand souls …"

@24:27:
"… out of a detachment of two thousand men, amounted to one thousand and fifty-four …"
heard as
"… out of a detachment of two thousand men, amounted to one hundred and fifty-four …"

The last two I thought were significant due to comparisons being made in population, and death tolls, respectively.
