French Pronunciation help...

Hi anyone,
I have some French singing to read in a chapter in my Jack and Jill book. I don't know a lick of French.

Can anyone help me out with pronunciation, I'd need it written out phonetically so I could read it. Not come across this before, and know I'm going to totally massacre the pronunciation, but can only give it the old collage try, eh?

Here are the two songs as written...

"Faut jouer le mirliton,
Faut jouer le mirlitir,
Faut jouer le mirliter,
Mir--li--ton."

I took a stab at the first one, as I think this same song or one similar was sung in the movie of Wives and Daughters, so I had an inkling what it was supposed to sound like. I have no clue about this second one, though.

"J'avais une colombe blanche,
J'avais un blanc petit pigeon,
Tous deux volaient, de branche en branche,
Jusqu'au faîte de mon dongeon:
Mais comme un coup de vent d'automne,
S'est abattu là, l'épervier,
Et ma colombe si mignonne
Ne revient plus au colombier."

OK, so this is coming from a non-native French speaker who minored in French in college and took it all through high school. The accent should be pretty accurate.

Well, I told you, I don't know French at all.

I spelled it like it sounded. hee hee. Thanks for showing me the correct spelling.
"Jusqu'au faîte de mon dongeon:" was the hardest line to say for me.

If you want a good laugh, you can listen to chapter 10 of Jack and Jill, I did my best, but I'm sure I slaughtered the pronunciation. I think it sounds a bit like I added in a Spanish-ish accent on a few words.
