The Motor Boys across the Plains or, The Hermit of Lost Lake, by Clarence Young
Dear Boys:

Here it is at last—the fourth volume of “The Motor Boys Series,” for which so many boys all over our land have been asking during the past year.

To those who have read the other volumes in this line, this new tale needs no special introduction. To others, I would say that in the first volume, entitled, “The Motor Boys,” I introduced three wide-awake American lads, Ned, Bob and Jerry, and told how they first won a bicycle race and then a great motor cycle contest,—the prize in the latter being a big touring car. Unlike the previous 3 books, I don't plan on DPLing this one, but if nobody else comes around, I can PL. I'll be taking the preface and Chapters 1-2.

For MC's; please consider Lynette first if she would like to remain as MC for these :9:

Hi Elijah,

To reiterate what I've said in the past, thank you for selecting another of the Motor Boys ebooks to BC, another ebook that I've produced for Project Gutenberg, with the assistance of Distributed Proofreaders.

Once again, in appreciation, may I contribute to the project by taking Chapter XXVIII (All’s Well that Ends Well), the last chapter of the book?

Thank you,
Don (DACSoft)

Hi all,

I'd love to help out! I can read sections 3 & 4. :)

Edit: Here is a recording for Section 3

https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/hermitoflostlake_03_young_128kb.mp3

Since this is my first recording outside of my 1-minute test, I would appreciate any feedback/corrections before I do Section 4.

Thanks!

Welcome to Librivox! Wow! That was pretty quick! Thank you so much for this! I would recommend, in the future, to please wait until the MW is filled in before claiming. There could be times where the BC (Book Coodinator), splits any longer Chapters up, and the sections vs chapters might not align. Not in our case though, as Chapter 3 would be section 3 in the MW

Do please include the file length when uploading as well :D

Also! Under which name would you like to be credited?
Thanks
Elijah
