Hi! I am a returning volunteer. I have done a lot of project and solo work here about 3 years ago when there was a lot of spare time in 2020. I would like to come back and do some more volunteer recording, but my setup had since all changed, so I am resubmitting a test just in case.
This is the unprocessed version:

I tried doing the noise reduction and editing as I think I used to do, but I would welcome any tips or reminders:

I'm recording on the built-in microphone in my iPad Air 4 (no idea what type of microphone), and editing in Mac with Audacity program.
Thank you for checking

Your unprocessed version didn't pass the Checker because of background noise but your edited version did pass, so you're ready to jump back in and start recording. I suspect the background noise may be partly because you're recording with a built-in microphone, rather than an external one. But whatever you're doing to fix that is working.
Generally speaking, if you want to doublecheck your own technical specs, you can use the free tool Checker to pre-check your MP3 file before you upload it. With that tool, you can also see the exact volume in dB of your recording. You may already know about this from before, but if you don't, it's a very useful tool.
Happy reading!
