Just to be sure you know: this would be version 2, as we do already have this book in the catalog.

We certainly allow multiple versions, but some readers will prefer to read something that hasn't been done before.
I'll be out for a bit on this last weekend of April, but still checking in as I get the chance. I will try to follow up on Monday, with anything I can't do on the go.

Could I take Chapters 1, 2, and 3? (At this rate, the Magic Window will be full before it appears!)

Thanks,
Winnifred

I would be happy to DPL this.

Small note, if you are in need of a DPL, do add a tilde ~ into the title before the [Group], so like ~[Group] so DPL's will attract by seeing the tilde.

Thank you so much!
And thanks for telling me about the tilde. :D
I will store that piece of info for next time I need a DPL.

OK, your MW is ready.

You'll need to start by logging into the magic window. Instructions are in the BC How-to; and this is a more detailed version of the First Login instructions (with pictures!) Please be sure to read all of the BC How To document, as that will give you more information on your role as a BC.
Note that passwords for the magic window and the forum are not connected. You can use the same password in both places (I think a lot of people do), but if you change it on one system, it won't affect the password on the other system.

You did a great job setting up your first group project! Just a couple of notes:

- next time, only put the title in the title field on the template generator. Our system will automatically add the author where it is needed

- it is helpful if you add some descriptor to the thread title, in addition to "group". I've added Children. Some people seek out children's books to read, so this will help them quickly find you.

- I've adjusted the disclaimer a bit. I think you want people saying "Chapter 1" at the beginning of the section (not "section 1"), so I've made that clear in the disclaimer. If you have a project where the chapter numbers and section numbers don't align, then it's good to have people say the section # in the disclaimer. That generally happens with long chapters that need to be split, but I don't think that will be an issue with a children's book, so we'll go with "chapter #" in the intro and outro.

- I've started filling in the MW for you to show you how it should go. I don't ever put the chapter numbers in the section title when the chapter numbers and the section numbers are the same (again, because there are no chapters so long that they need to be split over multiple sections). It looks nicer that way on Archive and the LV catalog page when the project is finished.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
