Hello Prajakta,

I have listened to your file and the reading is all correct and nicely done. However, the volume is 100.9dB, which is extremely too high. The acceptable range is 86 - 92dB, with 89dB being "ideal." Because of this high level, the majority of your recording shows clipping. Please have a look at the LibriVox Wiki regarding this. https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Setting_Recording_Input_Level

I also would recommend that you see Phil Chenevert's excellent video on achieving the correct output level: How I Always Hit 89dB With One Click https://youtu.be/aSKR55RDVpk Also highly recommended is the use of the checker tool to verify volume and other settings: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/ I personally always use the checker prior to uploading a file.

After you have corrected the volume level and clipping, upload the new file using the same file name as the original. Please remember to post a note here in the thread when you are done.

Thank you for your feedback.
After some software update, (this is my observation, am not sure about it), the sound system of my laptop is behaving strangely.
I will see to it and also will go through the links.
I had set the technical specifications and was sticking to it. This is for the first time I am experiencing this.
Will upload the file and get back to you.
if the technical specs are correct then I will also make changes in the next four files and upload.
