Section 34 PL Notes:

As with the previous section, the section title is "Part 4, Chapter 7" not "Section 34"
1:12 stumble on "opened my eyes and enlarged my understanding"
~2:02 the paragraph begins with "Let me deal so candidly with the reader" heard "To let me so candidly with the reader"
3:25 repeated the word "curiosity"
5:19 this pause between paragraphs feels extremely long
7:26 stumble on "miscarried"
8:39 multiple repeats on "would neither eat nor sleep" and that sentence
12:28 slight stumble on "how far this might be applicable"
At the end it should be "End of Part 4, Chapter 7"
PL OK. Very seamless editing. I may seem a little brusque when I make my comments but everyone makes mistakes when recording :) you will make fewer and fewer as you continue to record
If she's passin' back this way

Tell her she can look me up
If she's got the time

Phew! :D
I still need to go over the last chap again - will see if I can salvage it otherwise I'll re-record.

Section 27 (Pt. 3, Ch 11) attached, in 8:22:

https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/gulliverstravels_27_swift_128kb.mp3

Unless I am deceived, the author made a mistake! OR it's a subtle dig at inaccurate histories in general. He left Japan soon after June, 1709, rounded the Cape of Good Hope and arrived in Amsterdam on 16th of April (Year unspecified, but must be 1710 at least). THEN inexplicably, (without reversing the rotation of the earth) sets out from Amsterdam for England on 10th of April, 1710!. I'm going to assume it's a subtle dig at inaccurate histories in general, as I don't think a mind like his would miss this...and it's just slightly buried in the text. Gotta be!

Thank you,
Brize

Hi- On November 20 I sent my part 1 chapter 8 in this thread for PL review but it doesn't seem like anyone has seen the post?

I just wanted to be sure so that I can hear back whether the work is PL OK

Thank you

PL Notes:
0:19 the section title is "Part 2, Chapter 4" not "Section 12"
2:20 repeat of "which" in "which the common people feed on heartily"
4:56 longish pause
Needs "End of Part 2, Chapter 4" and five seconds of silence on the end

The volume is appropriate on this one. Much better!
