excellent job on Cordatus, he's totally no-nonsense and down-to-earth, commenting everything. And wow that was quite a long role, especially with the Prologue. I'm really curious whether we can fit in the Prologue into Act 1 without exceeding the 74 minutes. :hmm:

Acts 2, 3 and 5 are already PL ok.

a few small notes for the other 3 acts though:

Prologue:

> at 1:16: “O, that sets the stronger seal on his desert“ – should be stressed on last syllable, like “dessert” – here it means “merit, sth you deserve”

Act 1:

> at 1:40: “Why might he not as well have hated Sordido as him?” – this sentence actually belongs to Mitis and can be cut here
I found it strange that Cordatus would speak two quotes in a row here, so I checked with two different scanned copies and I see there is a line missing in Gutenberg. :?

https://archive.org/details/workesofbeniamin00jons/page/98

That means I need another line from Alan for Mitis: “Stay Sir: I envy not this Buffoon but I hate him: why might he not as well have hated Sordido as him ?” (I’ll drop Alan a PM so he sees this)

Act 4:

> at 0:43: “that would not credit him upon this volley of oaths“ – I hear “valley” instead of “volley”

> at about 0:53: please insert missing line: “Stay: O, here they come from seal'd and deliver'd.

thank you !

The volume on this may need to be increased. I did have the need to spend some time on editing this file so please do let me know.

no the volume was fine, much easier on the ears than the watchman  4th rustic absolutely PL ok.

the sound in the voice credit has some fluctuations again, I wonder what happened there :hmm: the rest of the file sounds better, maybe you recorded that line differently ?

no need to reupload though, it's fine as it is :) for the voice credit, you don't need to say "act 3", but Todd can easily cut it out.

same remark for the file-number though, always take the number of the act, not the section

Are we able to have multiple characters, if they aren't in the same scenes? Example:

Sogliardo Act 1 Scene 2
Third Rustic Act 1 Scene 3
Bob Act 1 Scene 5

Would something like that work?

we try to avoid doubling in the same ACT. So unless they are in different acts, usually we don't double voices.

Who is Bob ? :hmm:

That's what I thought, just wanted to check.

I couldn't think of any of the characters at the moment; Bob just popped into my head.

Thank you

I hope this isn't a big mess, my setup is kind of disorganized and I feel like I'm doing this from a campsite, uploading via smoke signals and editing with .... I don't know what ... I hope you don't have to make too many notes, Sonia, but if you do, I'll get fixes in soon.

It's like when you move the dog's bed, and the dog can't make his world right again though nothing really significant happened. :)

Okay, here's acts 4 and 5 -- Sonia, 5 is long. Again, apologies if things are out of place, hopefully not too many.

 wow now this was a tour de force here, Eva. Well done on Macilente's character. Ah he's a real cynic and has a nasty streak to boot, who would have thought ;) He's a right schemer all through the play. (and not beneath poisoning a dog  )

Ex-cel-lent job

Acts 1, 2 and 5 (yes, the big'un) are all flawlessly PL ok.

Found only one single missing line in total. That's great, considering the difficult script and the fact that it was Mac. and Maci. Let's say...I hope that I found all the lines now.

for Act 3:

> from 4:58 till the end: the final two quotes belong to Mitis and could be cut:
- MIT. "What follows next, signior Cordatus? this gallant's humour is almost spent; methinks it ebbs apace, with this contrary breath of his mistress."

- MIT. "What, in the old case?"

On consideration I could also simply make a note for Todd to ignore these lines, but if you don't mind cutting them quickly, then it's all easier for him maybe

for Act 4:

> at 0:01: missing line: MACI. "Save you lady; where is master Deliro?"

> at 1:37-1:48: Mitis' lines again, can be cut: MIT. "O, strangely: an of the other's envy too, that labours so seriously to set debate betwixt a man and his wife. Stay, here comes the knight adventurer."

thank you for this great performance !
