Esther has the raw gizmo recording and the higher quality recording we made with my H4. She's going to see what she can do to edit them together. Can the Chicago bunch please send their recording to Esther?Shurtagal wrote:Are links to the file forthcoming?
The raw (low quality) Gizmo recording was about 90 MB for 90 minutes.
I'm going to edit the podcast Catharine, Esther and I did for release as a community podcast, maybe as soon as this Thursday. I'll include some of the shenanigans from the Worldwide conference call.

Alright. From my own Gizmo recording I am working on editing the first six chapters of CHILDREN'S CLASSICS IN DRAMATIC FORM, and our reading of the weekly poetry. will post again when done.

How does it sound Zack? (the gizmo recording) Is it ok quality?Shurtagal wrote:Alright. From my own Gizmo recording I am working on editing the first six chapters of CHILDREN'S CLASSICS IN DRAMATIC FORM, and our reading of the weekly poetry. will post again when done.
I haven't yet listened to the cd that Sean burnt for me.

its surprisingly good quality actually. Gizmo recorded into .wav format so I'm extra happy. We only have eleven chapters left in the book, should someone post in readers wanted or what should happen there?

Hmm. If you want to BC It, I will MC. I guess it should go under the dramatic works collection.

I've got a wave that we recorded with mic. We didn't use the gizmo record function. I'll get that uploaded tonight and sent on to Esther. (It's about an hour long, so will take a while.)

Kristin, can you stick it in Anita's server in the staredits folder?
That way Zack can acccess it too.
Thanks.

Yup, that's roughly where it was going anyway. Too big to go anywhere else. It's got some chatter and other things at the beginning and end so you may find some other things of interest, like a nice clear recording of Betsie and I cackling.

Oh ya, Sean's H4 recording is there already and it only took a whole hour to upload it. You can hear Sean and I prattling on and on as well. The conference call was so cool!

I have spent the evening editing the podcast. Catharine, Esther and I recorded. I'll just download Kristin's Wav to get the "I am the voice" recordings and the disclaimer. I may even have the podcast ready early this week.

After the full file upload is done I can chop that part out and send it to you. The file is too big to download just for that little bit. (Unless you want to look for other goodies.) Eeep, I just remembered I started the recording just after the disclaimer. Sorry.

I have the disclaimer and the "Voice of... " Recorded in the room over the speakers. It is OK, but not quite as good quality as a local recording.
You may want to encode the file to a 320kbs mp3 before you upload it. 90 minutes of raw wav will be about 1-1/2 GB of data.
My 320 kbs mp3 was only 273 mb.

I do have the "voice of..." part on the recording. I've already started the upload. The file is about 60 minutes, 309 mb and the upload has about an hour and a half to go.

Ok, upload complete. I had some problems losing the connection to the server part way through but the file size is right. If it doesn't work for you let me know and I'll upload it again.
