Hi Genesis,

We did a play last year: http://librivox.org/pride-and-prejudice-a-play-by-mary-keith-medbery-mackaye/
and there is also a dramatic reading of the entire novel: http://librivox.org/pride-and-prejudice-by-jane-austen-3/ :-)

By the way, One Act Play Collection 006 is almost full, and so in a while it will be done. Anyone game for a 7th collection soon or have we recorded all the good stuff already?

Thanks, Todd

I would suggest waiting on the next one until the software update.

Oh, yes! If you'd like to set up something earlier, go right ahead! I was thinking September or October. But if anyone is interested in starting up the project sooner, do it (after the Mellon update is done)! I want to participate! :D

Oh, sorry, I didn't realize that the play was a dramatic.

Thanks

A minor announcement: I've recently started thinking about coming out of dramatic works retirement and BC-ing another play for Librivox. Right now, I'm thinking it'll be either Benito Pérez Galdós' Electra or August Strindberg's A Dream Play. Still mulling over my options (ie. I'm waffling back and forth on which I should do first), but should launch one of them by next month. Until then, I need to clear my backlog a bit. :)

So, yeah... there you go.
PROJECTS
Current Solo:Septimius Felton (Hawthorne's final novel)
Help Needed: Strange Interlude (O'Neill's Freudian melodrama - roles available!)

I'm preparing The Royal Book of Oz for its dramatic reading debut. It'll be a little while, but giving folks a heads up.

No pre-casting here; keep your eye on the Launch Pad. ;)

Yeah, me too! :!: :!: :!:

I wish I thought I was up to setting up one of these, but all in good time.
I'll help out in whatever way I can, at least reading something.

Well, we have recorded Faust. But have we recorded "The Life and Death of Doctor Faustus Made into a Farce" by William Mountfort?

3 act play from 1697. (It gets confusing that it is PD cuz the Gutenberg book is a 1973 reprint....)

Anyone game? (Too much on my plate today!)

Thanks, Todd

This maybe isn't the best place to post this, but I'm curious.

Why is it that full dramatic works don't get moved to the Readers Found forum?

A good question. We (the admins) have discussed it in the past, and we decided that it made more sense to keep all the DW's together so it would be easier to see what was going on with all of them, if any were lagging, that sort of thing. We have also in the past added "Open" or "Full" to the thread titles so prospective readers could see where they could help. Cori has recently gone through the forum and added those tags, so it would be great if the BC's could keep them current.

We tend to leave collections in Short Works until they're cataloged too... but then most of those aren't claimed in advance, so there is very little time between the last claim (= file sent in) and cataloging.
