That’s fine… that’s how you’ll be credited in the finished project. Here on the forum, your name will remain the same.

thanks, lynnet (trying to get used to typing in lower case), and hope you're well.
if i may ask, i have been researching on the russian pronunciations of the names and other political terms (or positions), would yourselves prefer the Russian or American pronunciations of these?
also, would you give any advise on how this chapter should be read?
serious of course, but should it be read with or without emotion? or would it be better read as purely narration, a bit downbeat?
thanks in anticipation,
Romella

It's only file names that need to be lower casem3lc00p3r wrote: ↑May 14th, 2024, 12:43 pm thanks, lynnet (trying to get used to typing in lower case), and hope you're well.

As for pronunciation... I hadn't thought about it. American, I suppose, but if you have a genuine Russian accent, that's fine too
And for tone... that's up to you. Some readers like to do character voices, but they are hard to maintain (for me, anyway). As for emotion... sometimes it's hard to avoid it, but you don't want to overdo it. If it's an exciting passage, it's quite normal to speed up a bit and/or get louder. As long as it doesn't get too loud (clipping!) and is still intelligible, that's fine. Just read it as seems natural to you. You are narrating, not acting, but you don't want the listener to fall asleep.
I know, I'm not much help... but there is a lot of leeway, and much of it is reader's choice.

hello Lynne, hope you're okay.
your reply was actually quite helpful!
what I can do is provide both pronunciations of names or Russian words, maybe, then I'll let your colleagues do the editing, and they can choose which one to use.
exciting times ahead.
can't wait for the weekend, when I can start on my Chapter.
had to be a literally bloody chapter of course, albeit, the shortest.
anyway, hope you have a good rest of the day (or night) ...
thanks again.
