Hi there,
Hope you're all okay.
Please find herewith, my 1-Minute Test Recording, via the link below:

I hope everything will be okay.
I am using Audacity, on both an HP laptop for recording, then on a Windows desktop for editing.
My USB mic is a Blue Yeti.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you.
Best regards,
Romella

HI Romella! You can check if you've passed with the Checker tool: https://www.cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/m3lc00p3r wrote: ↑May 12th, 2024, 7:44 am Hi there,

In Checker you're almost there! Your volume is at 85.8 dB and we need a range of 86-92 dB, ideally 89 dB.
If you can paste a new link below just a tiny bit louder!

Hi there, lightcrystal,
Hope you're doing okay!
Thanks a lot for checking my test recording ...
Here's my re-take, which I actually named exactly like the original. Sorry.
https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_m3lc00p3r.mp3
Anyway, hope the volume's much better on that one now.
No rush, okay, I know you guys are very busy ...
Best regards and thanks again,
Romella

Hi Romella! Oh, you've reduced the volume to about 84 dB. Maybe you turned the gain the wrong way around? A range of 86dB-92dB is what to aim at, ideally 89 dB. Please post a new link again.m3lc00p3r wrote: ↑May 12th, 2024, 10:39 am Hi there, lightcrystal,

Hi lightcrystal,
Don't know what I did wrong there, but hope this is it now.
Not too hot, not too cold.

Hahaha, great stuff!
It's just about evening here, but with summer round the corner, it's staying lighter longer, and getting lighter much earlier! Aaaack!
Not to mention the little birdies back from their winter hols ... tweet-tweet-tweeting us awake!!!
But I'd rather have them back, herald of better weather to come ...
Thanks very much again for all your help ...
I shall go on the prowl for my first volunteer work soon ...
Have a great week ahead!
