Section 29 is ready. I cut it one paragraph short of the MW to give it a cleaner break.

I can hear a bit of small background noise , not sure what it is , within the last 2 1/2 minutes or so, for example:
19:37-19:40
19:45-19:52
19:58-:20:00
20:42-20:46
Can you hear it too? Wanted to mention it just incase it's something you'd prefer to fix before I set it to OK, otherwise it's ready for PL OK

I apologize, I had some things come up in my life and I'll be honest, I kind of lost my way to get back to the forums. But I'm back! I should be able to do the test recording this afternoon if the section is still openInTheDesert wrote: ↑April 19th, 2024, 8:20 amWelcome to Librivox, FeylingQueen!
It would be great to have you record section 20 for this project (Medieval History). It looks like you haven't completed your 1 minute test recording yet. It's not really a test, more like a technical specs check to make sure you can produce mp3s that fit the Librivox technical standards. You can find all the info you need here. There is a video tutorial on the test recording here here and some more detailed instructional videos here. You might also want to try this tool to check your own technical specs so that you can pass the test recording on your first try. The most common issue is with overall volume and the easiest fix is to use the Audacity 'Loudness Normalization' effect set to -19 LUFS in 'perceived loudness' mode. Post your recording in this forum and once someone replies to your thread to give it an OK, you can post back in this thread saying you're ready to record. See you soon (hopefully)! Don't be one of the many people who appear and then disappear without a trace! You'd be missing out on all the fun of Librivox.
These are not yet assigned in the MW. I was going to start on them today, if that's ok.
