I finished it. How do you want me to label the file?

Well done!
The filename could be something like ghohor072_indark_clark_sl_128kb.mp3 (where sl are your initials, so feel free to adjust).

Hi Ty! Welcome to Librivox and the Ghost and Horror Story Collection!
Thank you for your contribution! An excellent reading, your file is PL OK, which means Proof-Listened and all in order.
You now have a Reader Page in the catalogue at https://librivox.org/reader/19288 which you can also open from your name-link in the Magic Windows. It lists the projects you read for and can also help you keep track of your sections in ongoing projects under the "Reader Section Details" link.

Thank you, James Evans! You got a great rendition of the story here!
Would you be able to remove any music and reupload the file?
And one more small addition, if you could add the author's name after the title at the beginning of the recording "Oh, Whistle, and I’ll Come to You, My Lad, by M. R. James"

Hi, sorry about that, I'm new to this whole recording thing and still getting my head around it all but I have made the amendments as requested and I hope it works for you.
Anything else by all means please let me know.
Thanks
James

Thank you for the corrections, which makes this a PL OK recording: Proof-Listened and all in order! (the filename does not follow the project's format, but I can fix that on my end)
As I said, this was a great rendition, wonderfully narrated! Even more so when it's your first recording! Any technical difficulties can be gradually overcome! So I hope you'll enjoy recording and produce lots more brilliant audio works!

This is easily one of the most ridiculous stories I've come across in the early years of Weird Tales!

Good Evening:
I am torn as to where to put this, but I have decided this is probably the best spot.
The Ode to Pegasus
By Maria Moravsky
From Weird Tales, November, 1926
Read by Dale Grothmann
Time 15:26
Audio at:https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor072_pegassis_moravski_dg_128kb.mp3
Text at: https://archive.org/details/WeirdTalesV08N05192611/page/n83/mode/2up
The last line -- "It was only his body worn to death by the tiresome realities of life." Makes this a Ghost story, but a very gentle one.
Enjoy
Dale

I found this in Gutenberg: so is it okay to record? Is anything in Gutenberg okay for us?

At Gutenberg.org, on the main page of the ebook (e.g. https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/1617 ), there's "Copyright Status" information, which for most books in Gutenberg.org is "Public Domain in the USA." You mention that your location is in Canada, and as far as I understand Canadian copyright law, the authors that are in the Public Domain for readers/listeners in Canada are those who died in 1971 and earlier. So you should be OK for this story, the author Mary E. Wilkins Freeman died in 1930.Marina47 wrote: ↑February 17th, 2024, 10:07 pm I found this in Gutenberg: so is it okay to record?
