Thanks Winnifred! About the emoji, how do you do the face part? I don't think my computer has that.

Quite honestly, I googled, then cut and pasted. You're right; I think the face is a Japanese character. I think my son has just got a copy of it saved somewhere.

Cheers,
Winnifred

Love the shrug emoji. Thanks for the voice over tip. I have been letting it record corrections at the end and then cutting and pasting. I've gotten to where when I make a mistake I just say it again correctly right then and there and keep going, then go back and delete the mistake later. I find that I have a lot of hesitations because there are so many run-on sentences, so I am cutting out a lot of dead air.

I'm doing more and more of that myself (just say it again), even when there's no mistake. So much easier to just delete the one I like least afterwards. I keep the recording going, and just pause in my reading when the kettle starts whistling or the phone rings, etc., and cut it later. Only occasionally do I need to rerecord anymore, and usually just because I missed/misread a word accidentally.

Pasting from the end is tedious (you have to copy the new bit, figure out exactly where it belongs, play the old again to make sure, back up, paste, etc.) Not sorry to have left that behind.

Cheers,
Winnifred

You're right, Winnifred. Shift-Record is a nice shortcut.

Yes, recording does dry out your mouth, doesn't it? I try to keep a glass of water close at hand, keep the recording running, take a sip when I need it, then edit out the swallowing/drinking sounds afterwards.

Cheers,
Cheers! Thanks for the advice <3 :) Will remember that for next time :9:

I think I am going to record that second chapter today, I hope nothing goes wrong!
