Hi, Debbie!
Sorry for the late response. I'm on a trip to New Hampshire to take care of an urgent situation. Good progress so heading back to California tomorrow. And, I thought I'd seen the last of a New England winter. Really, pretty mild for this time of year and this last Nor'easter missed NH.

Anyway, I just need to know exactly how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog. This can be your real name, pseudonym, or any nickname/handle that you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of your LV work.

You're free to go ahead and record, and I'll update the MW later.

Glad to have you with us!

~ Larry

Wonderful - thank you, Silverquill! :) Hoping all turns out well up North for you. DShieber is fine for the catalog. Question - How long do you need the reads to be for a completed chapter (2 to 3 min) or is every one different? Excited to bring you my first pass! Thank you, again, for taking the time to reach out and safe travels!

That is just fine!
I've added you to the LibriVox catalog and assigned you Section 82.
Just click on your name in the Magic Window to view your personal reader page. This is where you can track all of your LV projects of which I hope there will be many!

The short answer to your question is, "As long as it takes you to read the section." This book has short chapters of fairly uniform length, and it seem most of them run somewhere between 2 may up to 3 minutes. Then, of course, reading speed varies. Other projects will have longer chapters and more variance in length.

WELCOME TO LIBRIVOX

I can get the others done shortly, just wanted to upload one first and make sure everything checks out.
As a heads up, I did not say quote/endquote, but it seems evident when it shifts from third to first person. I can add that in if needed.

No issues with the length of the closing silence with this one. :)
Well done. This is PL OK.

Hi all,

Here are sections 18 and 25.

Thanks for the direction on noise reduction. Would the noise level be indicated by the value under "DC Bias" in the checker? Thanks!

Larry, I just finished my first pass of Section 82 and wish to upload. Who should my MC be for the uploader? I don't see your name. I am assuming I upload there and post a link here for you?

Larry, Disregard my last email -I re-read your instructions and figured it out (I think).
Here is the first pass of Section 082. My first read so give it to me straight - I'll take all the constructive criticism I can get! :D
Thank you, Deb

Right! The name of the MC to choose is always given in the first post at the bottom.
We do request that you enter the file length, mm:ss, when you post the link. I've taken care of this for you.
Tech specs are good, and your reading, from my short sample, is excellent. :)

There needs to be some adjustment to the silence at the beginning, but M will be along to give you a full report soon.
