Thanks, everyone! MW updated.
I do plan to record a couple of selections myself. I have been impatiently waiting for my voice (throat, sinus, all of it) to get back to normal after a minor bout of sickness. I was hoping to do at least one good short story, but I might have to settle for a couple of nice poems. I will record by Thursday (Friday at at the absolute latest, voice or no voice) and probably submit that same day. I really don't want to drop a huge PL load in Tricia's lap right before the deadline!![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

Thank you,
- Carol, by William Canton
The very last line reads "Give my heart". I hear "Give him my heart". While it does break the meter of the poem, I think it's up to you if you want to change it.

PL OK! There's another story in this collection with a similar storyline - or punchline, I guess. I guess it was The Little Match Girl.BigManDan wrote: ↑December 22nd, 2023, 2:02 pm The Heavenly Christmas Tree by Fyodor Dostoyevsky

I've changed the file name to heavenlychristmastree (no "the") and dostoyevsky.

Okay, thanks! I think the title of the story IS actually 'The' Heavenly Christmas Tree, though. That being said, it doesn't matter much to me what we call it.TriciaG wrote: ↑December 22nd, 2023, 3:02 pmPL OK! As for the author's name, I found three different spellings online so I went with the one from Project Gutenberg but I think you have it right and they got it wrong.
I'll have to check out the other, similar story!

In file names we generally leave off the leading article (A, An, The). But yeah - I put "The" in the actual story title in the Magic Window. ![Cool 8-)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

Is it possible to add more than one author to metadata?
![Confused or Hmmm.. :hmm:](./images/smilies/confused0083.gif)
One of my selections is in the MW. While I was editing that one and before I recorded the second, though, my husband came home. I'm giving him a few minutes to get quietly settled, and then I will have another nice little poem for you!
EDIT: Done!
