Can I use Ableton software, instead of Audacity?

I use ableton frequently for my music projects, and love it. Not the end of the world if I cant use it, but would like to over audacity.

Yep, as long as you end up with a mono mp3 at constant bit rate of 128kb per second, 44,100 hertz sample rate. I thnk using the DAW your familiar with is probably the most efficient anyway, at least to start. Many of us here don't use Audacity. The checker program is highly recommended though because that is what PLers use to gauge volume and noise levels.
