These are awesome, I commend you for doing it all without reading thru aloud first! I've tried that but spent way to much time editing out all my mistakes
I will try to save more of my own stumbles though to post, I do love hearing them from other people. The struggle is real!
This week I stumbled around with the phrase, "evil shall not sojourn with thee" for whatever reason I kept saying "shojourn."
And also had to do a double and triple take with the oddly worded, "All the night make I my bed to swim."

Thanks! I hadn't really thought about it before, but there are probably a couple of reasons why I don't rehearse before recording:
I have so little time to work on LV projects. It's all I can do to record one pass and edit it down.
I like to approach the material fresh. Even if I did have more time, I fear that if I rehearse it too much, it'll start sounding rehearsed. Even when I stumble over a phrase and have to repeat it a few times, the later takes sometimes sound (to my perfectionist ears) a little more stiff than the earlier ones, even if the stumble is gone.
Just an average recording session: an added random consonant for good measure, a "flathering" lip then later the assumption for some reason that the flatterer would be a tongue instead of a lip as it was before, and finally a "poof" instead of a "puff".
My recording space is in a noisy place (beside the refrigerator), so I'm accustomed to noise reducing after recording, and praying that the fridge won't start running (or stop) until I finish recording. Recently, I decided to try recording in a different space in my building, a little-used lounge, which also contains a fridge. The first couple of sessions there went really well. The fridge seemed quieter than my own.
But on this particular day, it suddenly started making this odd clunking sound as I was recording a suspenseful ghost story. I tried and tried, but "my emotion was exhausted and a numbness was coming over me," until finally, I just lost it.

I read the same German text twice: First from a source that I later found had no visible year of publication = no can use, work for the bin , then from a much older version from 1839 with notably more outdated language, in that weird old Fraktur font that makes it easy to confuse one letter for another. I stumbled over a sudden English word I'd never heard of and that wasn't in the other text. https://librivox.org/uploads/bloopers/blooper_sv.mp3
"You're on Librivox? Pffft. You just like to hear yourself talk."
"Yuuuup."

I have to be honest, I did not hear a dog in the recording. Bit of a disappointment really, because that's why I clicked the link Click bait!
Yeah. . . you can't hear her very well. The house was finally quiet, and I would finally have some time to record when she start snuffling around at the door. I almost lost it.

Not really a blooper, but this is what happens when your cat walks across your keyboard mid sentence:

Yes unless some wacky government makes it February 29.
If that did happen, I would still hope for some stuffing and pie!
