Thank you!
I've put you in for this.
Just remember that 75 has some French in it.

I am so sorry, but may I be taken off of 75. I was originally excited because it had some French words (which I love), but upon reviewing the work I also found another word (quite common back then, I'm afraid), but it's not something I feel comfortable saying now. I'll be sure to take a full read over anything I volunteer for in the future so that this won't happen again. I would like to take 77 in it's place, please.
Thank you,
Kerry

Well, we do encounter this from time-to-time. It just reflects the time period of a lot of PD stuff. I'm doing a series of narratives given by former slaves in interviews, and this is frequent in their own language. I do have a prominent cautionary note for the project, however, so people can be on the alert. I've had an African-America read some of Booker T. Washington's works, and he didn't flinch at reading it. We sometimes find other potentially offensive language, stereotypes racial and otherwise. There are things I won't read. That is the freedom we have with LibriVox.Kavita01 wrote: ↑June 20th, 2023, 10:28 am I am so sorry, but may I be taken off of 75. I missed this when I scanned the poem, and I've added a note in the MW, so thanks for the alert.
No problem at all making the switch.

Hi Larry
Can I claim section 70 (1915)
This is a rather longer section than I usually take on but it is such a bizarre and interesting poem that I can't resist it.

The MW is being balky, but I'll get it in eventually.

How about a few minor tweaks on this one.
At the beginning, there is 1.5 seconds of silence, and it should be no more than 1 second. So, while you're there, the is a click right after the title, and again right after the author's name. Easy so snip.
Then at the end, you can add another 1/2 second of silence to bring it a bit closer to 5 seconds.
Finally, when you upload the corrected version, you can use the correct file name. You left out 1915 after anthologyofmagazineverse
Again, these are minor tweaks, but I think you will find them worthwhile to do.
I really appreciate your good reading and contributions to this project.

Well, I forgot to mention that the file name also needs the leading zero, _077_, but our talented MC can correct this at the end.silverquill wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2023, 5:34 pmWonderful!Kavita01 wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2023, 12:00 pm Hi, here is 77 with revisions:
