Has anyone claimed Section 31 The Cast-Out Devil?
I'd like to do a short reading before I take on another long read.

InTheDesert/TriciaG,
I just uploaded Homily #88, "The Christian's Walk".
Read Time - 8:32. File Run Time - 8:38.
Link below:
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/homilieepistlegospels_88_aquinas_128kb.mp3
Proofer - Please Realize some scripture references were corrected in the read because there is NO 33rd Chapter of Proverbs in the Bible.
Also, Text indicates Psalm 145 in roman numerals. in reality is should be Psalm 140:5.
I will attempt to finish Homily #90 in the next few days. Please extend my deadline a couple of weeks just in case. My sister in Nashville just had extensive surgery today and I will be going therein a couple of days to help her recovery. I hope to finish before I leave town.
Respectfully Submitted,
CJZJR

Thanks for this section and welcome again to Librivox! Don't be discouraged by a couple of technical issues - the reading was good.
- 00:00 Intro should begin "Section 31 of 99 Homilies"
- 00:01 Max 1 second of silence at the start of the track please!
- 05:28 We need 5 exactly seconds of silence at the end of the track (as close as you can make it).

I listened to my first take of this recording again and I decided I could do a better job. I was quite tired when I made that recording... I made two subsequent practice takes. The first was with a new microphone I purchased online. The mic was a disappointment; performance failed to even approach purported specifications. Recording no good... For the second I went back to the Logitech USB Headset. It sounded a lot better to me. In that this is a short selection; I shall make a fresh recording with attention to your correction notes.
Thanks,
Fred

If that is your preference, you are welcome to do it as you get your recording set-up sorted out, though I wouldn't have said there were any big problems in the recording. Sorry to hear the microphone was a disappointment. You can post a new link in this thread when you've uploaded the new one!txphred wrote: ↑March 26th, 2023, 4:59 pm I listened to my first take of this recording again and I decided I could do a better job. InTheDesert/TriciaG,
I'm sorry I failed to finish before the deadline by some minutes. I lost the information without it posting properly.
Here it is again.
Homily #90 - "the Armour of God" was uploaded minutes ago.
Read/Run time - 6:59.
File Run time is 7:05.
Link information is below:
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/homilieepistlegospels_90_aquinas_128kb.mp3
To the Proof Reader/Listener - I found another error in the text regarding the Scripture reference. Text reads : "Pslam 49:6" .
In reality it is "Psalm 49:5". I read the proper Scripture reference in the recording.
Assuming successful evaluation on this one, I would like to request the following portions for assignment in the coming days:
Homily #33 - "The Ways and Works of Christ".
Homily #34 - "The Atonement".
Homily #89 - The Lord's Armies and Their Work".
Respectfully Submitted,
cjzjr
