In college we had a student who wrote an original musical based on the Birds. My future wife and I did props. We made the crow and jay that come in on the arms of Euelpides and Peithetaerus out of pull-string dolls. One was Bugs Bunny, so the characters entered from the back of the theater with the birds saying "what's up doc?", etc.
