COMPLETE The American Beaver and His Works - dc
Craig, I think I've got the MW sorted out so that I've read all of Chapter 1 (sections 2 and 3), reduced the Preface to just Section 1, and started Chapter 2 as Section 4. At least, that's what I've tried to do. FYI, not an excuse but an explanation, I'm recovering from a massive stroke, which has left me a bit addled at times. Thanks for your patience, which is not part of the job of a PLer but appreciated nevertheless. It should get easier for me and better for you once I'm recording sections chronologically, rather than trying to go back and reorder them. At least I hope so!
Thanks for listening,
Joanne

Craig, I've reuploaded Section 3, which now should include the long-awaited pages 36 to 45. I've also recorded all of Chapter 2, but see that I've duplicated the start of the chapter in both sections 4 and 5. I'll get that straightened out later and hope we'll then be on a roll.
Thanks for listening. These chapters have been a tough listen, I know--lots of anatomy and not much else.
Thanks, Joanne

The intros and outro for the remaining chapter 2 files will need to be changed. The file names will also have the numbers 5 and 6 not 6 and 7. Then they need to be uploaded again.
edit: I can remove the duplicate 5 row in the MW if you wish.

Craig, I've re-recorded and uploaded sections 5, 6, and 7, and recorded section 8, which gets us into Chapter 3 and dam-building and completes the anatomical recitation. Who knew I'd be using my Gross Anatomy class to describe beavers!
I hope I'm back on track here. Thanks for listening, Joanne.

I only avoided them for a while. I've uploaded through the end of Chapter 5 for you, and there are plenty of dams and lodges! (Some might say nothing but dams and lodges.) But the chapter did explain for me why the young beavers that experimented with our small creek commandeered a groundhog burrow in the creek bank across from us.
