Hi -
I have just uploaded Christmas Day in New Zealand by Lady Mary Anne Barker. Section 15 of this compilation.
https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/cswc2021_christmasinnewzealand_barker_ma_128kb.mp3
It is 1:02:27.3, and 88.6 dB approximately.
Please let me know if any edits are needed.
Many thanks

Chapter 16 needs just one bit of editing before it will achieve the lofty status of PL OK.
TIME: 18:01 TEXT: "Who Put the X in Xmas?" This phrase is read twice, one with "Christmas" and one with "Xmas".
Otherwise, a nice offering.
Let's hear more from you, MaryinArkansas.

here's my participation:
Christmas by George Wither (1588–1667)

duration 4:16

Thank you!
Merry Christmas!
A fine reading of this descriptive poem.
The audio level was okay with Checker but the volume of the recording was a bit low, especially at the beginning. Nothing to keep this from being PL OK but something you might watch in the future. Then, again, it could just be my chronologically progressed ears.
Merry Christmas,
Lomond

MaryAnne, welcome to LibriVox. It would be remiss of me to not warn you that LV can become addictive and time-demanding.
"The Night After Christmas" was well done and would easily be PL OK if it did not need one little correction. The silent period at the beginning of the recording is about twice as long as it should be. Just a quick edit and all will be ready to go.
Let's hear more from you.
Merry Christmas,
Lomond
Greetings -
Here are some opportunities to hone your editing skills in Chapter 19:
TIME: 10:20 TEXT: "right what was wrong among them. 'Twas so" This phrase has a repeat in it.
TIME: 13:52 TEXT: " And light ye up your candles," This phrase is repeated.
TIME: 14:04 TEXT: "was listening eagerly." There is a long pause after "eagerly" that could be shortened.
The actual reading was well done. I noticed how the timbre of your voice was well suited for this story, a match that made it easy to listen to.
Looking forward to hearing more from you,
Lomond

This is a nice take on the "Grinch reformed" Christmas story.
commonsparrow3, thanks for sharing this with us. Just one thing keeps it from being fully PL OK.
TIME: 20:17 TEXT: "The truth was that Susan had been coming to the age that is sceptical" This phrase has a repeat.
Merry Christmas,
Lomond

Considering the short time left I asked my daughter Claudia to PL it.
Did I miss some formality?
Thanks, Pier
