Hi Avani,

I enjoyed listening to your recording of "St. Patrick's Day", and I have a couple of comments that I would like to share with you.

Firstly, your overall volume was too low at 83.7 dB - the target is 89.0 and the acceptable range is 86.0 to 92.0.
Have a look at https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Setting_Recording_Input_Level for setting your raw recording level.
In Audacity you will also find the option to amplify under 'effects'.
How to amplify in Audacity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_z607awyLw
I always check my MP3 files using the checker tool to verify volume and other settings https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/

I heard a number of thumps in the recording as well. I had a similar problem when I first started recording and found that I was hitting the desk with my knee or elbow. In addition to being careful about that, I put a piece of spongy foam under my microphone stand. Depending on your particular microphone, you may be able to obtain a "shock-mount" to hold the microphone which can be very effective. Most of these are not too bad, but the ones you are able to edit out, for instance at 0:44, would improve the quality of your recording. Some of the thumps that I heard were at: 0:20, 0:37, 0:44, 2:04, 2:08, 2:17, 2:43, 3:03, 3:11, 4:05, 4:07, 4:17, 4:26, 4:33, 4:44, 5:03, 5:14, 5:56, 6:28, 7:05, 7:15, and 7:20.

There are two places that need to have the words corrected:
at 1:26 "like real heroes", I heard "like real horses"
at 3:49 "on old women", I heard "an old woman" - please note plural and singular.

Finally, several words could have a better pronunciation. Take a listen to "blatant" at 0:52 and "corduroy" at 1:34. I mention this only as help to you, and corrections for these are optional. If you would like a more exhaustive list, just let me know. Also, have a look at the LibriVox wiki: there is a lot of excellent help available there. In particular, you may want to have a peek at https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=English_Pronunciation_Guides. We all come across words that we need help with. Just today I recorded a section on the history of astronomy and had to go look-up several words in order to try and get the pronunciations correct.

Finally, remember that everyone on LibriVox is here to help each other. Feel free to reach out to me at any time or to the BC of any project you are working on.

Just upload your corrected recording under the same file name and post the link here again with the new file length so that I can check it.
