Old R.F.D. awaits P.L. in the M.W. He is a very patient old man....
Thanks, Todd
Just a few tiny notes on Act 1:
1:04
Missing word: "me" -- the line reads: "Now gimme a hist with these packages." (p. 15)
I hear "Now give a hist with these packages."
4:38
The line is "I snum" - I hear "I some" -- though I snum I wouldn't a'known what that word meant had I not looked it up...
snum: vow, declare —used in the phrase I snum
(
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/snum)
and in the same line you say "cats" instead of "children":
I
snum, even the dogs and little
children all know the old man. (p. 16-17)
6:07
This time "snum" sounds like "sun" in the line: "She stood there talking to me and, I
snum, if old Bess didn't come right up and eat two-three carrots right out'n the basket, right under the Widder's nose, as you might say." (p. 17)
6:26
I don't know if you want to add this, but towards the end of the page, right before Reynolds enters, Steve and R.F.D. laugh:
(Steve and R. F. D. laugh.) (p. 18)
Very nice acting, Todd. You had me sobbing there for a minute... (and you sure do say the word "old" a lot!).
Listening to your recording, Todd, I realized that I didn't read my character description. (I don't think anyone else did either). Should I?
