Yes, that's the way you should read the intro. Looking forward to the recording.WiseHive55 wrote: ↑April 6th, 2021, 11:36 am
And just so I'm clear, for the recording I should just say, "'The Feminine Mind in Picture Making'" by Anonymous". That's it?
Thanks!

Hi Sue
I was hoping to narrate from this book....but just a couple of the stories to keep it at 60mins.
http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/11368
Does that work ok?
Thanks

Hi Nick, Welcome to the Short Nonfiction Collection (SNF)! Yes, Stories of Inventors: Adventures of Inventors and Engineers is a good book to read from for the SNF. I would suggest picking just a single chapter to record, since they are all about different inventions. The only chapter from this book that has been read for the SNF already is "How a Fast Train is Run," which MrFace recorded for the 80th volume of the SNF https://librivox.org/short-nonfiction-collection-vol-080-by-various/. There is no limit at LibriVox on duplicate readings, but you might want to pick one of the other chapters to read. They all look interesting!DogEars wrote: ↑April 6th, 2021, 5:32 pm Hi Sue

I hope this qualifies. I found it roundabout through the librivox nonfiction wiki page.
They are whimsical and therefore perhaps not fully nonfiction. idk.
I have another from the same collection that is a bit longer. He is so witty, I'm trying to get the tone. Not sure if I pulled it off.
Any feedback welcome:)
Thank you

Hi Arthur, Welcome to the Short Nonfiction Collection (SNF)! Thanks for this "right-on" humorous Twain essay on celebrity worship, which addresses so well the desire of the average person to have their moment in the spotlight. I was amazed how contemporary Twain sounded!ArthurTrinchera wrote: ↑April 7th, 2021, 6:54 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/snf081_approachingepidemic_twain_at_128kb.mp3

Arthur, Thank you for your kind words about my website, "Sue's Audio Books." Are you Arthur Trinchera, the musician? We can add a link to a LinkedIn profile or other non-commercial website to a LibriVox catalog page--a bit of free advertising.ArthurTrinchera wrote: ↑April 7th, 2021, 6:54 pm

Thanks inthedesert for An address on “The Scientific Preparation of the Minister" by J. Gresham Machen the founder of Westminster Theological Seminary.
Christianity and liberalism was one of his better books.
Well read and a few errors noted:
17:14 But they are not accomplishing the great task, they are not assimilating modern thought to Christianity, Repetition of this phrase
20:01 On the contrary, rejection of Christianity is due in the vast majority of cases simply to indifference. Only a few men have given the subject real attention. he vast majority of those who reject the gospel do so simply because they know nothing about it. This sentence was jumbled up.
