Here is Section 85--about that crazy Napoleon  :

Jim

In that case, I would like to claim the last two, which are 90 and 91.

Hello!

I'm pretty new, but I would really like to record section 91.
If I could be credited as Adeline Chris, that would be lovely.

I am happy to relinquish 91 if that person is ready. Jim :)

 crazy Napoleon. Yes he had some delusions of grandeur in his days ;) The section is very interesting and well narrated. I only would suggest one correction to make it more clear, if you don't mind:

> at 10:55: (p. 464) "2. académie des inscriptions et belles-lettres (1663, 1701); 3. académie des sciences (1666); 4. académie des beaux-arts (1648); 5. académie des sciences morales et politiques (1832)" – could you please replace "a" each time with the full word "académie", because it sounds a bit odd the way you spoke the abbreviation :?
In that case, I would like to claim the last two, which are 90 and 91.

thank you, that's generous of you. I'll assign you section 90 then.

and welcome to the forum and our World Story project. You have chosen quite an ambitious project to start with. Though I see you also read in one of Phil's books, maybe that one is easier to do as first section.

I have replied to your one minute test here: viewtopic.php?p=1851000#p1851000. Could you please make the necessary adjustments before you start on any official recording ?

Meanwhile I reserve you Section 91 and as soon as the test is complete, you'll be signed up officially :)

Thank you for your interest in this project and I'll be seeing you soon.

And that makes us FULLY claimed and we can move over to Readers Found. :9:

Thank you!

Yes this is a bit ambitious, but I really want to get a good diversity of narration experience. I love history, so I figured this would be a great place to start 😊.

thank you for both sections, the correct 85 is now PL ok.

For 90 I have a few corrections, mainly due to the abbreviation of the nobility title "von" which you always spoke as "v." and that sounds very odd. Would you mind correcting this ? (I know it's a lot, sorry  )

> at 1:03: (p. 507) "June 16 to July 22 (August 23)" – I'm not really sure why the date is in brackets but I think we best put it at this spot, not at the end, so you can cut it at 1:14

> at 4:41: (p. 508) "under General von Mülbe"
> at 4:54: "Vogel von Falckenstein"
> at 5:15: "General von Moltke"
> at 5:46: "by the Austrian governor von Gablenz"
> at 5:57: "General von Manteuffel"
> at 6:02: "von Gablenz"
> at 8:52: "von Gablenz"
> at 10:19: "von Herwarth"

> at 45:34: (p. 519) "five milliards of francs" – I think you say "millions" which is a lot less. "milliards" is "billions" in English: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/milliard#English

thanks !

Here is the fixed one, which didn't take more than a few minutes to repair, so no problem:

So Adeline, you have passed the test and here is your personal reader page: https://librivox.org/reader/15732 All your projects will be listed there. Two for the moment but hopefully more with time. 8-)

As to this project, please read carefully through the first two posts of this thread. There are special requests for this project, concerning footnotes, book/page references, genealogical tables, and much more. In the first post you also see an example on how to correctly speak the intro/outro/title and how to name the finished file.

If there are any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask :)

I have not heard back from the new reader for section 7 again, so I will release the claim again. Luckily I got a PM from Colleen yesterday, which I will post here for the record:
