Thanks for the reading from Kierkegaard's Either/Or Gabriel

Yes, I do like Kierkegaard and wish more of his work was in the public domain.

A few errors noted:

:39 their shrieks could not reach his ear to terrify him, to him they sounded like sweet music. You said the shrieks could not hear music to terrify him

You should leave 5 seconds of silence at the end

Thanks for the article about the Irish Catholic majority and Protestant minority in relation to a national church InTheDesert  Well read and interesting :D

A few errors noted:

1:49 Romans 8:1 you said Romans 13:1

26:32 and of whatever provisional use they may be (and we are not concerned to deny that such pleas they may, in many cases urge) repeated words in parenthesis

Thanks Craig. I have reuploaded with the second editing error fixed.

I'm conflicted with the first one - the text does indeed say Romans 8:1 but the quotation is unambiguously from Romans 13:1 ("Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.") - the printer has put VIII for XIII. My preference would be to use 13 even though it is not the printed text, but you are welcome to advise me on the point.

Hi. Remember me? 8-)

Here's something different than my previous contributions:
https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/snf079_cottingleyfairies_conandoyle_pn81_128kb.mp3 22:25

Background story: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cottingley_Fairies One of the most prominent people to fall for the story was Arthur Conan Doyle. He even publshed a book about it called "The Coming of the Fairies" (which we have in our catalogue) which this section comes from. I picked section 2 first of all because it's shorter than section 1  but also because you don't have to be familiar with the preceding chapter to know what is going on here.

Hi Piotrek81, Welcome back to the Short Nonfiction Collection! :D Fake news [circa 1920] and fairies! Oh my.

"Kodak declined to issue a certificate of authenticity. Gardner believed that the Kodak technicians might not have examined the photographs entirely objectively, observing that one had commented, "after all, as fairies couldn't be true, the photographs must have been faked somehow." [Wikipedia]

Just a thought - would this one be a good fit to fill out the "Frauds, Forgeries, and Fake News Collection 01" (viewtopic.php?f=19&t=78482)?
