Hi! Let me take a crack and see how I get on? I'm not going to know unless I have a go, so let's see :) I'll aim to get it done by Sunday. It'll be nice to have something creative to focus on

Here's a long one: "Elfwater" by Norman Douglas.

https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor038_elfwater_douglas_ljb_128kb.mp3
Text: https://archive.org/details/UnprofessionalTales/page/n19/mode/2up
Duration: 1:01:28

Elves!
Fairies!
Madness!
Murder! (maybe)
A ghost or two... (maybe)
This one gives a whole new meaning to the term "dysfunctional family"...

Thank you, Anne! It's really helpful when you post your link to also give more information about the recording, like title and author, and online text source in the public domain.
I actually find this story attributed to Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu in this gutenberg ebook http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/26451.
PL notes: There is a repetition at 35:00 "Berthe who was silent and preoccupied"
So the changes needed are: to delete the repetition, to correct the author in the recording's intro, and to re-upload with the correct filename (to include the author)
Thank you for contributing to this collection! You choose quite interesting stories!

Just to let you know I'm half way through the shunned House - challenging, definitely, but fun. Hope to get it done and dusted by the end of the week :)

O Thank you! :9:
This is the one I mentioned to you a while ago in a PM... very sad and tragic and haunting.
I previously recorded it for our collection Unprofessional Tales: https://librivox.org/unprofessional-tales-by-norman-douglas/
I was so taken by this story that I just had to do it again!
I wanted more people to hear it, since the GhoHor collections are so popular.
Funny thing, the second recording is about 10 minutes longer than the first...
I just couldn't go faster, without tripping & stumbling all over myself.
I must be slowing down in my dotage. 8-)

Wow, we already have 2 stories about trees.
Wouldn't it be cool sometime to do a supernatural collection all about trees???

Any supernatural collection is cool 8-)

But yes, I agree, trees make for an interesting supernatural subject!
