I have a question about how to read one section. The text says this:
I learned today that you put things in like this " " when you write anything anybody has said. I didnt know that before. I must go over all my letters to you and put them in. And after a question you must put a mark like this ? and when a letter is left out..
I'm unsure of how to read the quotation marks and the question mark. Should I read, "I learned today that you put in things like this, quotation marks, when you write anything anybody has said...And after a question you must put a mark like this, question mark, and when a letter is left out..." Or is there a better way to do it? I'm new at this!
I see what you mean - that is indeed different than the usual type of read. I think I’d read it :
I learned today that you put things in like this (pause and lower voice almost like an aside) quotation marks (then normal voice continues) when you write ...

I would like to read Chapter 4. This is my first time volunteering to read.
Thanks,
Catherine Stenson
Hi Catherine,
Welcome to LibriVox! I will save that chapter for you. But before you begin, you'll need to have your 1-Minute test checked and approved. You can find more information about it in the Wiki. Post it in the Listeners/Editors Wanted forum, and within a day or two usually a more experienced volunteer will come along and check it for you. Once you have it approved, then you can go ahead and record. Thanks for claiming!
