Hello Pete,
I am having serious trouble with this one!
(I'm not used to working with so many characters!)
Anyway - I can't find the line
“I want to test a little theory of mine,”
It is probably me just being a dickhead - but I can't find it...
Should occur about 24 minutes in.
Andrew

Thanks Peter!
Ready for PL!
Beth: I have taken the care to listen through this several times..
I am pretty sure that it is accurate. However, I would very much appreciate a second opinion,
so pease let me know if I have missed anything!
I shall fix at your reqest!
(Personally, I think that this sounds pretty good - although I do a few issues.
I am not entirely happy about Dr. Watson beaing married to a robot, but I realise that we cannot expect everyone
to have the same respect for the original text that I feel myself. Also, in the text, Dr. John Watson's wife refers
to him as 'James'.
What's that about!)
This is not a complaint - simply an expression of confusion...
Runtime 54.10
OH! I got an error when I tried to upload - leave it with me - I shall endeavor to discover the problem!

I'm terribly sorry.
I have tried several times now - I simply cannot understand why
I am not allowed to upload this file.
Even though it represents several hours of work for myself - perhaps
you may wish to ask someone else to edit this story.

Did you export to MP3?
Try logging out of the uploader and logging back in.
Large files sometimes take a few goes.
It would be a shame not to hear it after all that work!

Beth, Andrew mentioned that Mary addressed John Watson as "James" near the start of story 6. That's also in the Gutenberg text and in my printed copy of the story "Sherlock Holmes, the complete stories", published in 2006. However, it's obviously a mistake. Should we correct it?

In story 7, The Blue Carbuncle, there's a sentence which I think belongs to Holmes, but hasn't been highlit. It's the final "That is clear and concise." in ....
Peter“Give me a pencil and that slip of paper. Now, then: ‘Found at the corner of Goodge Street, a goose and a black felt hat. Mr. Henry Baker can have the same by applying at 6:30 this evening at 221B, Baker Street.’ That is clear and concise.”

No I don’t think we should correct it. This point has been extensively discussed in the Sherlock Holmes fandom, and is thought to be a reference to Watson’s middle name.Peter Why wrote: ↑December 17th, 2019, 4:35 pm Beth, Andrew mentioned that Mary addressed John Watson as "James" near the start of story 6. @3:32 missing line "he cried"
That's the only thing, and since an identical line appears at 5:08, I think it can easily be copied from there.
PL OK! Well done on such a long read!

Finally managed to upload the bar steward! (Only took 15 attempts! )
This will be my last contribution. I notice that I have read section 7, although I do not actually remember doing it...
I am dreadfully sorry for letting you all down, but I am in a very dark place at the moment,
and I have every confidence that you will be able to cope!
Lotsaluv,
Andrew
