Greetings -

This reading got flagged by the Checker for being a bit light in audio...83.1dB...which is lower than the recommended level. Can it be boosted or does it need to be reread?

Lomond
Yes, it can easily be fixed. In Audacity, select all the recording (on a PC, Ctrl+A to select all) and go to Effects>Amplify. Amplify by maybe 6 to bring it up to about 89, which is around the ideal volume. Click OK.

I will leave the amplification magic to others. :)

PL wise, Chapter 1 was well read and needs no other adjustment.

Greetings -

Chapters 18 and 19 have been added to the list of offerings that have proven to be PL OK. (Wordy way of saying, "Dey wuz OK.")

Probably a personal preference, but, in some places, it sounded like it was read a bit too fast. I turned the playback speed down to .91x and it sounded better, at least to my chronologically slowed ears.

Anyways, you have Aunt Polly down pat. :)

Yes, sorry, I'm sure it can be amplified - I can't find the requested volume in DB - can you please remind me?

Requested volume range is 86-92dB. Thanks for the extra work on this one.

I amplified by 4 dB - did not see Jay Kitty's post until this morning but I'm away from my recording system. I hope this will be acceptable

No worries on "extra work" - sorry I failed to check it the first time!

Greetings -

All three PL Spot Checks have shown the needed adjustments to be done correctly and those chapters have been moved to PL OK status.

One more chapter...
