I read the apostrophes as "dash" and "double dash", I really wasn't sure what to read...

If it's a maths reference, I think it is "c prime" and "c double prime".

Don't know why I have forgotten almost everything about high school algebra, but I remembered that 35 years on.

Thank you MaryAnn...
It's a bit mathsy but not completely... a diagram of the level of water beside a stream...
Would that call for "prime"?

I like MaryAnn's idea! Yes, I believe "prime"/"double prime" would work in this case, for the points of the topography.
Are you up to making this change, Carol? But either way, it makes sense

Looking at the picture, I think the author is trying to mimic the prime concept in the maths sense, but given the picture and what he is trying to represent, as a listener I would understand just as well from what you read (dash and double dash) as I would if you had said prime and double prime.

I've changed it to "prime" and "double prime", and uploaded the new version.
Thanks!

There were a couple of tricky words here...
I read Sheik Said as "sa-eed", I hope that's right, I couldn't find any pronunciation online but that seemed to be how it should be read...

Yes, exactly! And all is great! Thank you, Carol!
Enough resting here
Here's the Winter Voyage, at 36:58:

I'm surprised he didn't use the words snow, ice, cold... more often
And I was surprised to hear about the interesting post office in the middle of the trip.

Thank you, Ava!
I find this a rather romantic trip description!
Just one fix needed at the end of the recording, maybe in the last 20 seconds, the second to last sentence is repeated "and in ten days ..."

Thank you, Ava! It's now marked PL OK in the MW, and I think I'll be able to catalogue tomorrow.
