Thank you, Devorah and Mary, for joining the chorus!
Devorah, ASL would present a bit of a conundrum for audio editing! Too bad, because it's an idea that made me grin!
Mary, I've had a quick listen, and the piano is so faint that it won't cause any problems at all. No need to re-record!

Hi Maria,
Here's my version: https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/lv12annivsong_lz.mp3
Not all of it is in tune..., but I hope there'll be bits you can use

Thank you, Anna! Yes, indeed, there are many lovely bits that I'll be glad to use! Especially I thank you for the Dutch lines which you included in your rendition!lezer wrote:Hi Maria,

Thanks for putting this together, Maria! Did you write the lyrics? They're so cute!! And so is the tune you picked out!

here at last is my bits of singing https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/lv12annivsong_ac.mp3
I ultimately opted for a lower octave, which hopefully doesn't sound dumb.
I know this has some mistakes in it, but I trust Maria to edit around them however seems best.

So, not winning any awards for my singing anytime soon, and definitely had a few mistakes, hopefully you can find something in here you can use! Plus, there is a party going on down the street, it didn't sound like it picked up there music, hopefully!

Thank you, Amelia! I'm glad to have something in an alto voice, as a contrast to all of us sopranos! And mistakes don't matter, since in the editing I'm going to mix'n'match bits o'this'n'that.plaidsicle wrote:here at last is my bits of singing https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/lv12annivsong_ac.mp3

Actually, this song is supposed to sound like we are celebrating a LibriVox party, so any stray party noises would fit right in! Thank you, Jennifer!jenniferrd wrote:So, not winning any awards for my singing anytime soon, and definitely had a few mistakes, hopefully you can find something in here you can use! That gives us nine singers, including myself. And it'll be ten total, with one little "hurrah" from my dad added in. A nice sized chorus!
We are now closed for contributions. I'm booked for the next couple of days with a family funeral, but I'll get going on the editing over the weekend, and hope to have the finished song ready to upload to the 12th anniversary collection by Monday, in time for TriciaG to include it in the cataloging of that project!

Twinkle, thank you! I'm so sorry I overlooked your file until now! I've been catching up LV at odd moments, and this one slipped through the cracks. But I've got it now, and it sounds great. (And yes, the silly lyrics were my own weird effort.)Twinkle88 wrote:Thanks for putting this together, Maria! Did you write the lyrics? They're so cute!! And so is the tune you picked out!

The song is now finished and has been uploaded to the LV 12th Anniversary Collection project. Here it is.
THANK YOU to all the wonderful singers! Sue, Devorah, Mary, Anna, Twinkle, Amelia, Jennifer, and Kathrine - you're all the best!
I'm particularly grateful to everybody for being so patient with my erratic attendance on the forum, and for being understanding when it took me several days to acknowledge messages. Thanks, folks!
