Hi Arjun, If you can make it by 3rd august, we'll wait for you! :) I'd like to see everyone who signed up for the 12th be part of the collection! If your classes delay your recording beyond Aug 3, you can still find a place for your recording in one of the short story collections .

Tomorrow I'll listen to the latest recordings submitted. For some reason I didn't get the email about them.

FYI, I'll be away from LV Friday morning through Monday evening. I will catalog this when I get back; it should still be done by the anniversary on the 9th. But if you want it cataloged sooner, I won't be insulted if you want to enlist another MC to finish the job. :)

I'm going to get the Song editing started this evening. There's a family funeral going on Thursday and Friday, so I won't be able to finish editing until Saturday & Sunday. I hope to get it sent in on Monday as early as possible! Thanks for being patient with me lately!

Here's the 12th Anniversary Song - (length 3:05)

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/twelve_12annivsong_128kb.mp3

I've saved the Audacity editing file, in case there are any PL issues. So let me know if the intro needs to be fixed, or if there are volume or sound issues that need tweaking, or if I've messed up any tech specs, which wouldn't surprise me given the somewhat confused state of my files... :?

There are 10 singers in the mix:
Sue Anderson, mightyfelix, mhhbook, lezer, twinkle88, plaidsicle, jenniferrd, kathrinee, commonsparrow3, natsnut

Thank you, Sue and Tricia, for being so patient with my last-minute entry to this collection.
And thanks for allowing my dad to be a part of LV for one last time. (The "whoopie" at the very end is him.)

And a big THANK YOU! to all the wonderful singers!

I'll start!

Here's what we have for the intro:
"<i>LibriVox is a hope, an experiment, and a question: can the net harness a bunch of volunteers to bring books in the public domain to life..."
</i>Hugh McGuire, LibriVox's founder, August 9, 2005<br /><br />This year is the 12th anniversary of our beloved LibriVox. The readings in this collection celebrate that "bunch of volunteers" who make up the worldwide LibriVox community. The readings are held together by their connection to the words "twelve" or "dozen" The collection is multilingual. The selections, which are chosen by the readers, include fiction, nonfiction, poems, short stories, and articles.
Is that still OK?

And do you want to add any keywords?
