Section 27 is reloaded, with corrections except at 22:40, because my voice is so hoarse from a bad cold I can't record anything right now, and it seemed a very minor error. The others were just deletions, so easy.

I am still hoarse from a long-standing cough, so I haven't been recording for a month, just editing files. I was able to paste in a Mr. over the Dr.
and reviewed all the quote/end quotes between 21:33 - 22:28, making adjustments that seemed appropriate to me using the copy and paste method.

The "Mr." sounds weird, since your voice raises unnaturally on the second syllable. Where did you take it from?

I tried to use the "Mr." from "Mr. Jay" on p.460, which sounded nice, probably because it also starts a sentence.

That sounded all well.

09:05 the whispered "end quote" is distracting.
21:36 the "end quote" sounds like a question.
21:36 there should be a small pause between the "end quote" and the "end of chapter"

I couldn't find anything more serious than these small stylistic things, which, I think, counts as a big compliment to your reading, once again.

And that is exactly how I took it, on both Sections 28 and 29! However, having developed a affection for live podcasts in the last two years (Fresh Air, TED Radio, Dan Carlin, Garrison Keeler, and others), and listening to them sputter about in extemporaneous speech, I have come to feel that little jarrings here and there kind of enhance the performance. . . . keep the listener awake . . . prevent the droning on and on that I sometimes hear in a perfectly paced recordings.

I suspect the Librivox authorities will be absolutely thrilled to hear this from me if any come around, for I was once a worse critic than you. That's why you and I get along so well!

I appreciate "where you are at" (as we say down in South Louisiana).

Only two chapters to go, neither are recorded. My voice is still raspy but slowly improving. Needs practice. Maybe when I'm done here, if I'm lucky, my next solo might also catch your interest. It's a juicy European scandal!

You already recorded "chapter 12, part 1" in section 29. Currently both section 29 and 30 start with the words "The busy man".

Oops, I could have seen this simple typo myself. Anyway, here are the notes:

09:02 the text says "felicity", you read "facility".

nicely read French

12:30 the text says "the one with wine", you read "and one with wine"
13:30 just in case you want to pronounce the city of "Nantes" in French, it rhymes with the English "aunt"

Not sure I understand this suggestion. I did pronounce it to rhyme with "aunts, pants", etc. But some might say it to rhyme with "fonts". My mother is Parisian French. I will ask her tonight.
