SonOfTheExiles (Son of the Exiles)
Australia>New South Wales>Sydney's Western Suburbs
Accents: Australian.
Most of the Australian-accented voice parts I contrive to do in the Henry Lawson and Banjo Paterson Bush poems and stories are based on older relatives in the back-blocks rural areas of New South Wales and Victoria, or in some cases their neighbours.
Some samples may be found in "Send Round The Hat" in Short Story Collection Vol. 058 and "A Droving Yarn" in the Coffee Break Collection #10.

Ummm ... oops? See the table entry...
I've got nothing against the Novocastrians, y'understand, but I'm from Sydney's Western Suburbs, not Newcastle.

My guess is that she copied the code from the one above. Fixed it. I made it "Sydney area" because it's shorter, but if you want it to be specific, I can change it.

Thanks, Tricia. I would suggest "Sydney's Western Suburbs", rather than "Sydney area", though. One would never confound London's West End with its East End and ... with the cardinal points reversed ... that's the difference between Sydney's Western Suburbs and its Eastern Suburbs.
It supposedly goes all the way back to the First Fleet, when the Governor and the officers were on the east side of the Tank Stream in Sydney Cove, and the convicts were on the west side in The Rocks.
Cheers,
Son of the Exiles

Sorry, yes, got confused between the one I was using as a template and the one I was supposed to be copying from.TriciaG wrote:My guess is that she copied the code from the one above. Fixed it. I made it "Sydney area" because it's shorter, but if you want it to be specific, I can change it.
