For anybody interested in hand presses, this is an interesting article: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/06/arts/design/kelmscott-press-a-thing-of-iron-musculature-is-to-be-sold.html?smid=pl-share. There's a picture of the press, which weighs over 2000 pounds. The Kelmscott Chaucer was printed on it 2 pages at a time.

What a fascinating article. I am currently recording More's Utopia as printed by Morris, and I wonder if this too were printed on the Kelmscott Press. It is a beautiful thing - see http://archive.org/stream/utopia1893more#page/1/mode/1up

If only I had $100,000 (£50,000)...

Although this is a thought I often have...
So little space, so much to say.
