I wonder what his objections were.
One error noted:
4:15 If every one of us, in returning to our constituents, were to report the objections he has had to it, and endeavor to gain partizans in support of them, we might prevent its being generally received, and thereby lose all the salutary effects and great advantages resulting naturally in our favor among foreign nations, as well as among ourselves, from our real or apparent unanimity.

Thanks for this, Dale! So much good sense on so many topics in one pithy Franklin address. I particularly liked these...Grothmann wrote: ↑June 27th, 2020, 12:15 pm Hi:

"...having lived long, I have experienced many instances of being obliged, by better information or fuller consideration, to change opinions even on important subjects, which I once thought right, but found to be otherwise."
"Much of the strength and efficiency of any government, in procuring and securing happiness to the people, depends on opinion, on the general opinion of the goodness of that government, as well as of the wisdom and integrity of its governors."
Now we have only one open spot left in Volume 075!
Hi all--
I have made the correction. Thanks Craig. It is an important word in this context.

Everything else the same.
Perhaps I can run one more up this afternoon.
Thanks

I'm deeply sorry, I lost track of time. Will you accept this amended recording? This could finish off the collection?

Volume 075 is now closed. Vol. 076 will be open shortly; look for it in "Readers Wanted: Short Works (Poetry & Prose) thread.
Many thanks to all who participated in this "75th Anniversary Short Nonfiction Collection"! I think it's pretty amazing that that the Short Nonfiction Collection is celebrating 75! The SNF has been part of LibriVox since 2007. It was started by knotyouraveragejo, who has MC'd every collection since No. 1, which was cataloged in August, 2007. Craig, as Dedicated Proof Listener, and I as BC have been around quite a while too, Craig since Volume 39 (2015), and myself as BC since Volume 28 (2013). Quite a few of you have made recording for the SNF part of your LibriVox story, and we appreciate all your enthusiasm and dedication! SNF wouldn't be here without you!

Hi Piotr, Don't worry! The links to the text in the MW are just in case someone wants to access the text while the particular volume is "under construction" so to speak, and Craig does those as a courtesy to us all. The links to text which will appear in the catalog are entered separately in a different data base (by me) and double checked by Jo, the MC, before we go to press. In case you want to read Nietzche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra, it's available from Gutenberg, which is where Chad read the chapter "Poets." http://www.gutenberg.org/files/1998/1998-h/1998-h.htm#link2H_4_0045

Actually, Piotr, "triple check" is always welcome! It's thanks to you that Availle was saved from having her recording credited to Avialle (who is also in the data base as a reader), and I mightily appreciated your tip-off on what was my error there, so please, keep on reporting anything you sense amiss. We are all in this together!
