I wondered the same thing. But it's the lasting effect that he valued. He'd have a computer loaded with LibriVox recordings, I think!Sue Anderson wrote: ↑July 26th, 2019, 7:45 amHi Kevin, de Bury is PL OK! I wonder what he would have thought of recorded books? Ah, Tricia, You swooped down on those two last open spots in vol. 067! I don't see "United States Office of the Historian" listed in the LibriVox catalog. Is that how you would list the source?

VOLUME 067 IS FULL. Please save your recordings for Vol. 068, which will open in the near future.

I'd list the author as George W. Ball. I don't think you need any additional source-naming.

Hey, I don't know who controls this, but I just want to bring it to people's attention if it wasn't known yet: the last 3 Short Nonfiction Collections released haven't gone into the Short Nonfiction Collection group on LibriVox's site yet.
Still need corrections from Ava and Chad before this project can go to press.

Nicoholi, All the LibriVox Short Nonfiction volumes are in the LibriVox catalog. Here is the link: https://librivox.org/search?q=short%20nonfiction&search_form=advanced. They are also listed on the archive.org site, and there you can see how times each volume has been accessed. Here is an easy link to see this: https://archive.org/search.php?query=Sue+Anderson+Librivox+AND+collection%3Aaudio_bookspoetry&sort=-publicdate.NicholiVolta wrote: ↑July 26th, 2019, 11:44 pm Hey, I don't know who controls this, but I just want to bring it to people's attention if it wasn't known yet: the last 3 Short Nonfiction Collections released haven't gone into the Short Nonfiction Collection group on LibriVox's site yet.
Double checking things is always a good trait in a LibriVoxer: we're all volunteers and "things" sometimes happen! That's why there is a thread on the forum for reporting errors in cataloging etc. Here is a link to the "Error Thread" viewforum.php?f=29.
Thank you for your concern!

Hi Craig! Glad to see you back from vacation!
Thanks Sue. I had a very nice time with 23 of my brothers and sisters and their kids on a river in Seguin, Texas

I understand what you mean. It's the MC that handles this (it's in an admin-only area).NicholiVolta wrote: ↑July 26th, 2019, 11:44 pm Hey, I don't know who controls this, but I just want to bring it to people's attention if it wasn't known yet: the last 3 Short Nonfiction Collections released haven't gone into the Short Nonfiction Collection group on LibriVox's site yet.
I'll fix 'em up.
EDIT: Done! It'll take a while for the change to show up in the search results, but they already show up in the group: https://librivox.org/group/569

I'm not sure if the physical description was very flattering. Essentially Neville calls Ramanujan "fat and ugly, but with pretty eyes". I'm glad I don't know what people talk behind my back...Sue Anderson wrote: ↑July 21st, 2019, 9:59 am
Hi Availle, This was an interesting description of Ramanujan's personality! Your reading is PL OK except for one small spot, where you misread the month of his birth. At 1:11:20 the text says "December" and you read "September."
Anyway, file fixed and reuploaded. Thank you Sue!
Cheers, Ava.
